The River Glen Arbor Glen Arbor Kayak

William Shakespeare

by Mike Sutherland on January 6, 2012

And this, our life, exempt from public haunt, finds tongues in trees, books in the running brooks, sermons in stones, and good in everything.
William Shakespeare

I snapped this photo over the holidays on a hike through the swamp just west of Tucker Lake.  The Birch Trees there are the healthiest I have seen anywhere.  Loons, Sandhill Cranes, Bald Eagles, North American River Otters and Beavers now reside on this tiny lake and do much of their hunting in the swamp.  I have been fishing this lake my entire life and have no memory of any of those species being there up until the last couple of years. To experience this world on a kayak or canoe only adds to the wonder.

Get outdoors and make some memories.
