The River Glen Arbor Glen Arbor Kayak

Todays the day

by Mike Sutherland on August 1, 2010

No wind, no bugs, warm water, and 85 degrees make this the perfect day to paddle to Wisconsin…….or down the Crystal River……or out on the Glens or Fisher Lakes.  A gorgeous start to August in Glen Arbor.  Get down here to the River and rent a kayak or canoe.  Seize the day.

I was out on Sleeping Bear Bay yesterday and found the Phelps shipwreck just off the beach in about 8 feet of water.  Rent a kayak or canoe here at our livery on the Crystal River, paddle out into Lake Michigan and snorkel on the wreck.  Water temp. yesterday was 74 degrees!  That does not happen often on Lake Michigan…..take advantage of these conditions and get out there.  I have a couple mask and snorkels that you can borrow.

2010 ocean kayaks sit on top double or singles, or Old Town Vapors and Tandem Otters cockpit kayaks for 24 dollars a single or 38 dollars a double.  These are great boats for the lakes and the Crystal River.

18 holes of championship Putt putt/mini golf today as well.  Free Ping Pong and Giant Chess.  Game room is open.  Trading Post well stocked.  Get down here to the River at 5959 Oak Street and make some memories.
